No Show This Week - 7/3/13

There's really not that much news going on this week as we celebrate the 4th of July. Other than an escalator pile up in Duluth and some other stories which can keep until next week it's pretty light in terms of content.  I did receive this e-mail from the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation that I wanted to share with you all so take a moment to review it. Have a nice holiday and weekend, talk with you next week. eesfcatAs the summer approached, EESF sent its last few Safe-T Rider kits out to school districts in the United States and Canada.   During the 2012/2013 school year, program director Laurie Dueitt reports that the program has been sent to a total of 514,398 children (490,221 in the U.S. and 24,177 in Canada).   That is an astounding 103% of our 500,000 goal!  Is your school district or child’s classroom receiving the program?  If not, we want to send the program to you!  Give us a call and we will work out the details.

Part of EESF’s income budget is its many fundraisers during the summer.   We would like to give a big shout out to all our committee members who make these events happen!  We are only able to send out our programs free of charge because of the dedicated volunteers making things work behind the scenes such as with these events.    And of course, we must thank those who attend and sponsor the events.     For a complete list of events to help support EESF (and to network), visit eesf.org/events.    If you have an idea for a fundraiser and would like to help, please feel free to contact me.   We are always looking for new ways to raise funds.   And most importantly, this summer, please be safe!  Step safely!   Barbara Allen Executive Director Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation 356 Morgan Avenue Mobile, AL  36606 251.479.2199 F.251.479.7099 www.eesf.org
